Our next stop was the fishing village of Henningsvær, where we had a lunch break and bought some souvenirs. On our way out, we stopped to photograph heavily loaded “fish flakes”. Fishing is an important industry in the Lofoten. Flakes are platforms built on poles and spread with boughs for drying cod on the shores of fishing villages and small towns throughout the Lofoten.
