Roadrunners are my favorite bird.  A member of the cuckoo family, in Texas we have the Greater Roadrunner (yes, there is a "lesser" roadrunner as well), known scientifically as Geococcyx californianus.  In 2010 and 2011, we were lucky to have one or two that hung out in our yard, affectionately dubbed by Patty as "Curtis".  We haven't seen Curtis much since 2011, but he's featured in several of the images in this collection.

I also see roadrunners at work and several of them are also included here.  Those roadrunners have no name, but they put on a pretty interesting show some of the time.
