When we arrived at this lake, the water was very choppy, but we were impressed with its color and wanted to try to capture that. With the help of John Pedersen (the other tour leader), I was able to smooth the water out, thus better emphasizing the color, by using a 10-stop neutral density filter to obtain a long exposure time (1 min 46 sec).
