Intro.  This past April, I traveled to Oviedo, Spain to attend a couple of work-related conferences.  Oviedo, the capital city of the Principality of Asturias, is in the north of Spain, just a few miles south of the Bay of Biscay, a gulf in the Atlantic Ocean.  Most of the time I was there, I was in meetings and it was often rainy, so I didn't get out as much as I would've liked, but I did have some opportunities to do some photography around town and especially in the old town part of Oviedo (see the "Oviedo" slideshow).  Also, there was a field trip to MUMI, the Museo de la Mineria y de la Industria (Museum of Mining and Industry), which has an entire section dedicated to history of explosives in Spain.  The museum also features a with a full-scale reproduction of a mine with real equipment (see the "Museo de la Mineria y de la Industria" slideshow).

Photo info.  Click the slideshow icons at left to see the photos from the trip.  The following equipment was used:

All images were shot Raw (Canon) or JPG (Sony) and processed in Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 4.4.  Additional photo data is provided below each photo in the slideshow.  Enjoy the photos!
